I’ve worked as a therapist for 32 years. I offer personalized care, responsiveness, and respect to every client with whom I work. My experience covers a diverse array of challenges, including panic attacks, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, fears, relationship challenges, trauma, PTSD, and childhood abuse. I help individuals manage codependency, mood disorders, shame, guilt, anger problems, low self-esteem, and body image challenges. I also help clients with parenting issues, adult children of alcoholics (ACOA) parenting issues, adolescent and child challenges, re-marriage, step-parenting, and divorce.
I use a supportive, warm, and down-to-earth approach, relying on a variety of approaches, including family systems therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. My work helps my clients heal inner pain, resolve long-standing conflicts, identify and correct negative thoughts and beliefs, and improve their lives. I build upon my clients’ strengths, working with them to set and achieve individual goals. I work with families, teens, children, and adults. I also occasionally offer support groups for children and adults struggling with challenges such as grief, loss, and divorce.
My training and education is ongoing. I remain current on psychological research and data, and am engaged in ongoing clinical consultations designed to enhance my skills and abilities.
